| ATC Training | Visual Vectoring will license the VV Approach course to ATC training organisations and ATS providers on a per-student basis. We also provide start-up assistance for the installation and accreditation of the product, as well as ongoing technical and operational support. Where required, the VV Approach course may be tailored, under consultation with in-house instructors, to provide emphasis to specific local procedural or airspace issues.
|
| ATC Recruitment | Recruitment for Air Traffic Control has focussed on evaluating the indicators for success in ATC training, such as
academic performance, mathematical ability, decision-making, spatial awareness and multi-tasking.
Visual Vectoring will provide a turnkey solution for aptitude testing of ATC trainees, including the computers and instructional staff to facilitate the implementation of the Base Version of VV Approach as an evaluation tool. Candidates will be tested for the actual skills they will require to perform radar control duties. This approach to ATC recruitment also provides valuable pre-training to successful trainees who can then go on to complete the full VV Approach course or other location-specific training. It also provides the candidates with an insight into the nature of ATC, so that they may make a more informed decision on selecting it as a career path.
|
| Simulation | Whilst the VV Approach Simulator is intended as a practice tool for introductory training, it has the capability of simulating
any airspace and any RADAR interface. This would afford a cost-effective solution to simulator requirements in small to medium establishments for
sector-specific and refresher training.
|
| Lesson Design | The VV Lesson Design package provides a platform for the production of general and sector-specific lesson material, containing
air traffic and explanatory graphics, text and commentary.
Following set-up of the local airspace, traffic and HMI parameters, an instructor may create CBT lesson content that may be as simple as a discussion of airspace boundaries,
or as involved as a complex separation or sequencing problem.
New trainees in a particular airspace are then provided with a DVD-style presentation of the sector-specific traffic patterns, control techniques and typical scenarios prior to commencement of simulation. The lessons may be reviewed as required during the training process. VV Lesson Design enables the production of learning material that will reduce training times, and provide more standardised and effective training that will maximize the trainee's probability of success.
|
| English Language Training | The VV Approach training course has a direct application in the training and maintenance of english
language skills for Radar Air Traffic Control. The Speech Recognition system requires correct ATC phraseology,
the use of which is explained in the course.
Specific Lessons for managing unusual situations, such as inflight emergencies, may be created with the use of the VV Lesson Design platform. With the use of this platform, realistic radar scenarios are being developed by RMIT English Worldwide. These will enable more effective training and testing to meet the requirements of ICAO language proficiency.
