The VV Approach Home Learning Edition Full Version is a unique course that teaches the sequencing of
busy jet and prop-jet traffic inbound to a Terminal Area in all configurations
using radar vectoring and speed control techniques.
It is designed for persons serious about a career in ATC.
Skills and Techniques covered in VV Approach
Radar vectoring principles and theory;
Separation of aircraft by RADAR, and by the use of Vertical Separation. Wake Turbulence Separation is included.
Separation Assurance is heavily emphasized;
Orderly sequencing of aircraft onto a common runway, using RADAR vectoring
techniques to achieve optimum landing spacing;
Processing mixed slow and fast arriving aircraft;
Control of aircraft departing a common runway, including mixed fast/slow combinations; and
Separation of departing aircraft from arriving ones.
The Full Version of the VV Approach course consists of some 20 hours of audio-visual
training material, and over 100 hours of simulation.
