ATCX™ - Radar Simulator and Skills Trainer
VV ATCX™ is a Windows-based Air Traffic Control radar trainer that is the best PC-based ATC simulator available.
The VV ATCX™ program provides basic skills development instruction and explanatory material that will get trainees started in working on some intense and challenging traffic scenarios. This is ideal for deployment at the commencement of a radar ATC course, and has the potential to markedly reduce training times and associated costs. Skills covered include:
VV ATCX™ provides many hours of challenging traffic scenarios on four platforms : MazeX™, NexusX™, GridX™ and DiamondX™. In the early scenarios the traffic levels are user-controlled - aircraft may be added as the trainee becomes confident to handle them. Later scenarios present structured traffic flow, but it can be user-changed to add variety and exposure to a wide range of configurations. A random traffic generator is include top provide an infinite variety of traffic flow for skills development.
The program includes a choice of regional airlines to allows local preferences for aircraft callsigns to be selected in simulation. This enables familiarity with the telephony likely to be required for real traffic. Selectable regions are Oceania, Europe, Middle East, North and South America and Africa.
On all platforms traffic levels and complexity rise as progress is made through the exercises. The portable and modular nature of the training package make it suitable for delivery in a classroom environment, or for self-paced learning from home.
